Our team worked hard to provide sustainable landscaping works for quality, affordable rented homes at the award-winning Station Road site in Facit, for Westchurch Homes Limited.

Hoping to give many years of good service allowing the children to develop their interest in all things horticulture, our landscaping team designed and built this sensory learning environment, with a garden area and raised planters, for Chorley St Peter’s C of E Primary School. • Our Client, a major housebuilder, needed to create a public open space on an area of environmentally sensitive land
• A woodland area was cleared, roots removed and the ground “mulched”. The area was then prepared, rotavated and seeded to create a grass “kick about” area. Once complete, the client installed play equipment.
• Gravel footpaths and knee-rail fencing was also installed by Helmrig

• Prior to the start of construction of a new housing development, Helmrig was appointed to complete the removal of hedges and trees.
• Helmrig was also required to erect tree protection fencing to preserve several trees protected with Tree Preservation Orders.

• Working on behalf of Seddon Construction, Helmrig build a sensory garden to benefit residents at a centre for those with learning difficulties.
• Construction included the completion of hard landscaping, turfing, planting, timber archway construction and installation of artificial grass, sleeper beds, and benches.

• Working in the tight confines of an area between two completed fences, and close to a completed new house – Helmrig used a mix of heavy machinery and climbing tree teams to safely remove a row of large conifers.

• Pinfold Place, Great Eccleston is an exclusive residential development in the heart of historic Great Eccleston, Lancashire. Helmrig were then instructed by the client to design and deliver the soft landscaping scheme to the marketing suite.
• Design sketches were prepared based on our experience of show home landscaping from other premium developments, plants were sourced and the project was delivered to budget. The Landscaping process took 2 weeks from order to completion.

We were delighted to deliver the landscaping requirements for this mobile sales unit for Redrow at their new development, Bishop Meadows, in Oldham.

Helmrig have completed the landscaping for the latest development at Sandpiper Grange in Cottam, Preston as part of a design and build project for Rowland’s latest show homes.
Using an allocated budget, Helmrig attended the site and produced a design that would utilise the generous green space and sourced and installed plants that would complement the area’s natural landscape. The development was designed to provide large outdoor areas that are ideal for families looking for easy-to-maintain outdoor spaces.
Located five miles from the centre of Preston, Sandpiper Grange is set in the scenic village of Cottam in the heart of Lancashire.

Working with our friends at Everglades Plant Centre, Helmrig completed the turfing to open areas and car park at Ye Horns Inn, as very high-standard refurbishment of a traditional coaching inn.

• Faced with a large Ash tree in a dangerous condition and limited access, Helmrig safely removed the tree using a crane and tree team.

• Helmrig was selected by a major Civil Engineering contractor to complete the clearance of trees and vegetation on a former munitions factory
• Total area 100 Acres
• Over 1000 tonnes of woodchip, 500 tonnes of timber and 300 tonnes of root material was processed on site.
• Arisings were then removed from site and used to generate renewable energy.
• The whole site was then “mulched” to remove roots, brambles and small vegetation to enable construction to begin.

• Helmrig were instructed by the developer to design & deliver a landscaping scheme to complete a brand new children’s nursery and swim academy.

• Our Client, a major housebuilder, needed to generate a natural landscape buffer between a new development and a neighbouring rural area. Helmrig used experience working with ecological and planning constraints to deliver a scheme that met the requirements of the local authority, developer and local residents.
• Overgrown bramble and weeds were cleared, trees pruned, dead trees removed and the area cultivated before planting over 100m of new native hedging, native trees and shrubs to create a natural wildlife and landscape buffer.

Initial in-situ herbicide application treatment to prevent further spread of Knotweed infestation on boundary of residential development. Installation of CuTex toot barrier along boundary wall following excavation of all Knotweed rhizomes from area.

Recognition from our customer Bellway Homes for the work carried out at Arrowe Brook Park, leading to their NHBC PIJ Award. When it comes to the soft landscaping, a little bit of “TLC”, attention to detail, and time spent on maintenance makes a huge difference to how the site is presented. A quick visit to site shows that it’s worth it – Arrowe Brook Park looks very tidy indeed!

A stunning design, build and maintenance project that our landscaping team completed for the Redrow Homes Lancashire sales complex in Halewood.

Our landscaping team worked hard to create a full design, build and maintenance project with installation completed within 2 weeks for a Marketing Complex at Riverside Place, Carnforth. Riverside Place is a beautiful development in a gorgeous rural location in North Lancashire, developed by our wonderful clients Rowland Homes Limited.

• The school required 7 tall conifers to be removed to enable ongoing landscaping and grounds improvement works.
• These were located close to the school building and site perimeter, so the work was completed by a climbing tree team who carefully dismantled the trees and removed arisings from site.
• Works completed during half term week to minimise disruption to school operations.

• Appointed by the Local Authority, Helmrig completed tree and vegetation clearance of an area 2.5km x 150m to enable construction of a new by-pass.
• The ground was then “mulched” to remove roots and small vegetation, and herbicide applied periodically until construction could begin.

• Helmrig completed the landscaping of a large POS (public open space) area, alongside the plot landscaping, at this major development on the Wirral.
• Pictured is the construction of a footpath the POS area with self-binding gravel surface.
• Helmrig also completed new fencing, native planting and seeding for this area.

• Oak Hill Rise, Garstang, is a development of high quality homes close to the golf course in the historic market town of Garstang.
• The Helmrig team worked closely with the developer to deliver landscaping to a high standard in line with their build programme

• More than 80 new council homes have been delivered by Tawd Valley Developments for West Lancashire Borough Council (WLBC).
• Working on behalf of our clients – Whitfield & Brown (Developments), Helmrig was tasked with completing the Soft Landscaping for the project. Our supervisors worked closely with groundworks and fencing contractors to deliver the scheme in a very short timescale, to budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
